Journeying within transcendence - from call to mission (Christianity)
Description
One is called to witness to Christ, to proclaim him and serve him. Even before one sees one must proclaim. The task is then to be attentive so that when Christ is revealed he is recognized. The moments of contact with the transrational draw one beyond the limits of the ego so that the deeper self is discovered to which one wishes to surrender one's whole being, all that one has, one's limitations, restrictions, followers. This is an invitation, a gift of grace.
Context
The second section of St John's Gospel, Chapter I 19 to II 1, is related to a stage in the spiritual journey of the individual.
