Jesus speaks to the daughters of Jerusalem (Christianity)
Description
The believer is aware of Jesus, Himself burdened with sorrows, telling the women to weep for themselves and their children. Like them, he weeps for the offences he has committed, for the pains they deserved, for the displeasure they cause Jesus who loves so much. It is this love, rather than the fear of hell, which causes him to weep. Loving Jesus more than himself, he repents with his whole heart and begs never again to separate himself from Him. He asks that he will love Jesus always and that Jesus will do with him as He wills.
