Jesus falls the first time under His cross (Christianity)
Description
The believer is aware that it is the weight of his own sins, not the weight of the cross, which cause Jesus to suffer the pain of falling, from weakness due to lack of blood and His many wounds. He begs that, through the falling of Jesus, he himself may not fall into mortal sin. Loving Jesus more than himself, he repents with his whole heart and begs never again to separate himself from Him. He asks that he will love Jesus always and that Jesus will do with him as He wills.
Context
The third station of the cross.
