Jesus dies on the cross (Christianity)
Description
Aware of Jesus' anguished death on the cross, the believer knows that his own sins merit a miserable death but that Jesus died for him and this is his hope. He begs that when he dies he may do so full of love for Jesus, and commits his soul into His hands. Loving Jesus more than himself, he repents with his whole heart and begs never again to separate himself from Him. He asks that he will love Jesus always and that Jesus will do with him as He wills.
Context
The twelfth station of the cross.
