Human example (ICA)

Description

This is standing as proof of the capacity of human beings to stand taller than they are, to be bigger than the life they have; when a person uncompromisingly demonstrates the significance of being alive. It may be compared to the sisters who work with Mother Teresa of Calcutta, to care for the destitute and dying.

Context

In the ICA New Religious Mode in the arena of being the presence of transcendence (the life of chastity) the third formal aspect is inventing one's own essence, in which one manifests through one's style of being what one perceives existence to be. At the third phenomenological level, this occurs when one's concern about existence expands indefinitely, such that the object of one's care cannot be reduced to any one thing, but is all of existence.
