Higher states of consciousness (Sufism)

Islamic mystical literature describes a number of very high states of consciousness. One such listing of ten (in Sarraj) includes muraqaba (state-awareness), qurb (God-nearness awareness) and mphabba (love), and culminates with mushahada (contemplation) and yaqin (certainty).
