Group think

  • Group mindset

Description

The process through which a group of individuals remains locked into a particular pattern of thinking, constantly reinforced through daily interaction. This pattern can become so strong that it inhibits development of any alternative perspectives and specifically inhibits emergence of any attitude which questions the perspective which it sustains. Individuality is repressed by the power of the group thought pattern.
