Emotional high

Generally describes the feeling of joy and ecstasy and of oneness achieved either spontaneously or as the result of effort and triggered by any of: meditation; chanting; music; prayer; consciousness, religious or other group activity. In the latter cases, the repetitive rhythm or the exhausting effect of dance may result in a hypnotic or hysteric trance-like state.
