Detachment (Hinduism)

Description

The primal desires for sons, wealth and happiness on earth and in heaven are extirpated, the instinctive desires for pleasure, sex and power are exterminated. The mind is no longer engrossed in objects of enjoyment, even those yielding the most transient pleasures. This absence of attachment, indifference, arises from always being content with the supreme bliss of Atman or Brahman.
