Dai-shinkon (Zen, Japanese)

Unshakable faith in the teachings of Buddha, this is contrasted with mere superstitious beliefs.

One of the three pillars of the practice zen, the others being dai-gidan and dai-funshi. With dai-gidan, an essential component of hotsu-bodaishin, the firm resolve to achieve buddhahood.
