Cut-off unknownness (ICA)

Description

This is the experience of the day to day routine having been broken; and of having to face a future which is totally unknown; when one is forced to go to a new place or to do something for the first time.

Context

In the ICA New Religious Mode in the arena of standing present to the mystery of being in life (the life of contemplation) the third formal aspect is the experience of awesome not-yet-ness or of futurity. At the first phenomenological level this occurs when a person encounters a completely mysterious event in his life.
