Whitening teeth

Some toothpastes whiten teeth without damaging the tooth enamel. Teeth may be bleached under the supervision of a dentist. Alternatively, microabrasion of the tooth surface with an acidic substance lightens tooth colour. Over-the-counter bleaching agents are not recommended, as their unsupervised use may cause tooth and gum damage.
