Strengthening non governmental organisations management capacity

Northern hemisphere NGOs involved in development work in developing countries are increasingly working through local counterpart partner NGOs in those countries. Concerns about the performance and capacity of Southern NGOs have led many of the Northern NGOs to seek ways to strengthen their partners beyond pure technical support and to address underlying organisational weaknesses.
