Spatial ordering

Studying the geometry of patterns and regular or semi-regular structures (particularly the study of polyhedra, polyhedra packing, sphere packing, methods of generating polyhedra, and related topics) which offers insights into engineering structure in nature, including crystal networks, biological cell packings, Fermi surfaces, virus morphology, and other areas. Such studies may illuminate the manner in which an individual relates to his constructed environment.
