Repealing rules

Implementation

In 1995, Florida became the first USA state to propose getting rid of its rule books and making decisions based on common sense. Florida's governor has proposed repealing at least half of the state's 28,750 rules by the end of the 1996 legislative session, keeping only those considered crucial to public health and safety.

Claim

Repealing rules and regulations are fine as long as that does not mean the end of responsibility, but rather more accountability. Too much red tape breeds bureaucratic monsters and all that they entail.
