With the Shona people of Africa, the final ceremony for the dead is inviting the spirit back home.
Jew site in the living room at home for a week after the burial of a family member. Friends, relatives and neighbours come to visit, birnging food, talking about the departed - laughing, crying, sharing memories. Then the family showly get back to ordinary life.
