Reducing juvenile shoplifting

14-year-old "under-achievers" in East London chose trouble with the police as their problem in a school social inventions workshop They ended up making a video for showing at local schools about shoplifting, complete with police van and flashing lights, arrest and film taken in the police cells and the magistrate's court They reported back with a new level of self-esteem as a result of this work, and a new feeling of cooperation with the police stemming from their cooperation in the filming.
