Protecting workers against excessive working hours

Context

An average garment worker in Bangladesh earns around 2000 or 3000 taka per per month), which is not enough to maintain a healthy life, even in Bangladesh. To earn this, she (most of the workers are women) have to work long hours of overtime; 60 to 80 hours per week are more the rule than the exception. When rush orders have to be filled or delivery deadlines met, she may be required to work long into the night, to then catch a few hours sleep on the factory floor before starting again at 8am for another 10 or 12 hour day.
