Protecting plants and animals from pollution

Article 3(2) of the Convention on the Conservation of European Wildlife and Natural Habitats (Bern 1979) requires each contracting party to undertake, in its planning and development policies and in its measures against pollution, to have regard to the conservation of wild flora and fauna.
