Protecting bird populations

The European Commission decided to notify a Reasoned Opinion (21 April 1999) to Finland under Article 169 of the EC Treaty for its failure to comply with certain provisions of the European Union's Wild Birds Directive (Council Directive 79/409/EEC on the conservation of wild birds).
