Implementation

ILO provides a service to developing countries and to lending and development agencies through the procurement of technical cooperation and related services, including the establishment of documentary material and equipment planning guides. Advisory services are provided to build up procurement competence in developing countries. Activities include: identification of equipment requirements; screening of equipment requests; identification of new sources of supply; tendering; bid evaluation; placement of purchase orders; monitoring of timely and correct delivery; transport-related arrangements; follow-up insurance claims; and briefings.
