Preparing practical recommendations and guidelines for regional conservation of areas of conservation significance. A regional conservation plan would takes account of its protected area system, human occupation and use of natural resources, land tenure, threats to conservation uses, history and trends in land and resource use, species of conservation importance, legal and policy aspects and cross boundary issues, provision of buffer zones, and resources needed and means of assistance in implementing conservation guidelines.
