Claim
Mythologizing enriches a people's will to act together and to make sacrifices for their common endeavours. It makes "sense" out of life and death in both rational and non-rational ways.
Counter-claim
Mythologizing taps people's faith without clear reference to their critical intelligence. It thus permits superstition, bigotry and hoaxes.
