Mentoring tomorrow's entrepreneurs
Implementation
The Romany Youth Entrepreneurship (RYE) programme, which started in 1997, aims to improve the opportunities for young Romanies by training them in business and entrepreneurships skills. Led by the Czech Business Leaders Forum in cooperation with Nova Skola, a Czech foundation active in Romany education programmes, young Romanies will be provided with free training on how to set up and run a business and given one-on-one help by volunteer business mentors from the local Czech Romany community. Financial assistance is available in the form of small loans for the development of suitable business plans. The programme is sponsored by a grant from Levi-Strauss Europe and the British-Czech Partnership Scheme of the British Embassy in Prague.
