Improving fodder plants

Fodder production can make a significant contribution to farm productivity where grazing animals are important in the farming system and there is a fodder shortage. Useful fodder plants may range from herbs and grasses to shrubs and trees. Some are annual, some perennial; some available as green fodder and some able to be dried and stored.
