Establishing networks for exchanging experience on farming and sustainable development

  • Sharing sustainable farming experience

Implementation

This strategy features in the framework of Agenda 21 as formulated at UNCED (Rio de Janeiro, 1992), now coordinated by the United Nations Commission on Sustainable Development and implemented through national and local authorities. Agenda 21 recommends establishing networks for the exchange of farming experience that might assist in conserving land, water and forest resources, in minimizing the use of chemicals and in reducing or reutilizing farm waste.
