Establishing exchanges for international understanding

UNESCO promotes understanding of assistance required by media to publicize actions concerned with building public awareness throughout the world on transversal topics such as peace, human rights, security, solidarity, mutual tolerance, protection of the environment, development, mutual knowledge, dialogue between cultures, international understanding, freedom of expression, or the improvement of the image of women.
