Implementation

From March to August 1993, the Ethiopian Red Cross Society, and the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies distributed 1,118 tonnes of seeds to parts of Ethiopia. In the same year the Federation purchased 60 tonnes of bean seeds and 410 tonnes of wheat seeds for 10,000 to 15,000 families in Lesotho affected by drought, seeds for 500 households in Swaziland, seed distribution in Zimbabwe.
