Developing special programmes on migration causing or caused by environmental change
Description
Policies and programmes are developed to handle the various types of migration that result from, or induce environmental disruptions, with special attention to women and vulnerable groups.
Implementation
This strategy features in the framework of Agenda 21 as formulated at UNCED (Rio de Janeiro, 1992), now coordinated by the United Nations Commission on Sustainable Development and implemented through national and local authorities.
