Context

It has been found that mobile sources account for up to 40 to 80 percent of the total nitrogen oxide emissions present in our atmosphere. Of these mobile sources, gasoline-powered vehicles contribute about two-thirds of the emissions, and diesel-powered vehicles add one third.
