Developing national ecological networks

Implementation

The main activities that have to be carried out in the next few years to establish the Pan-European Ecological Network are identified in the Action Plan for the period 1996-2000. The plan includes four priority actions for the first five years: a) establishing a development programme for the Pan-European Ecological Network; b) preparing an implementation programme; c) stimulating the development of national ecological networks; and d) promoting awareness of the Pan-European Ecological Network.
