Developing fire management strategies for biodiversity conservation
Description
Fire can destroy large areas important for their biological resources and in other situations, provide an important stimulus for natural biological restoration processes. Many endangered species require a habitat regularly affected by fire or practices mimicking the effects of fire. Species dependent upon fire adapted ecosystems are found globally.
