Implementation
UNICEF pioneered the establishment of "Days of Tranquillity" and the opening of "Corridors of Peace" to provide vaccines and other assistance desperately needed by children caught in armed conflict. The practices have now been used in troubled areas around the world from El Salvador to Lebanon, Sudan to former Yugoslavia.
