Coordinating national economic policy in the light of interests of developing countries
Description
The aim is to ensure that processes of national policy coordination take into account the interests and concerns of developing countries, including promotion of positive action to support the efforts of least developed countries to halt their marginalization from the world economy.
Implementation
This strategy features in the framework of Agenda 21 as formulated at UNCED (Rio de Janeiro, 1992), now coordinated by the United Nations Commission on Sustainable Development and implemented through national and local authorities.
