Description
Assessing condition of land for specific uses, particularly with respect to hazardous substances and pollution. An assessment involves all or some of the following: an inquiry and review of government records and historical sources pertaining to hazardous waste activity on or near the property; interviews with owners, occupants and local agency officials; a review of available site records and environmental records from public sources, including mapped information; and a site visit and visual inspection, including current and past uses of the property, current and past uses of adjoining properties and surrounding area, geology, hydrogeology and topographic conditions, general description of structures, water supply and sewerage systems.
