Being an alcoholic

One who is addicted to excessive consumption of alcohol causes society to reflect on the pressures and situations which push people to addictions and to provide structures which protect all of society. May also be considered as a role taken in a complex continuing social game involving four other roles: the persecutor, the rescuer, the sympathizer, and the connection. The game evokes accusation and forgiveness, anger and disappointment.
