Accessing library materials
- Using library resources
- Providing bibliographic services
Implementation
Librarians serve as 'information advocates', listening to people's needs, guiding them to useful material, and helping them to synthesize and contextualize information. Library materials are catalogued by author, subject and according to various other useful parameters. In addition to the conventional card catalogues, many libraries now have computer-aided search systems, which can also access catalogues in other libraries.
