Unsafe roads for children

There are 9,000 children killed or injured in road accidents each year in the UK, and the British death rate for child pedestrians is the worst in Europe. Most at risk are junior school children and 30% of accidents occur when they are travelling to or from school along residential roads carrying light traffic.
