Underpayment of teachers

An increasing number of teachers at all levels are leaving for private business because of low pay in the teaching profession. University professors in high technology fields, such as, computers, space and biochemistry have been active in business for a long time but the numbers are rapidly increasing. Many educational institutions are concerned that academic research and teaching may be effected negatively as a result.
