Background

Suncus montanus is known from central and southern Sri Lanka and perhaps parts of southern India. Its habitat is montane, but it has been recorded as low as 150m in the rainforests of southern Sri Lanka.

Suncus montanus is considered as "Vulnerable" by the IUCN.
