Threatened species of Corsac fox

Loss of habitat to agriculture is the greatest threat facing Vulpes corsac.

The Corsac fox is found in Southeast Soviet Union, Soviet and Chinese Turkestan, Afghanistan, Mongolia, Transbaikalia, and northern Manchuria. It prefers the steppes and semi-desert, avoiding areas used for agricultural purposes.

The status of Vulpes corsac is unknown.

Vulpes corsac is considered as "Data Deficient" by the IUCN.
