Partiality

To have no partialities is impossible if one is interested and involved, and the attempt to rid oneself of them and to reach such a high plane that all things may be regarded with equal equanimity is to move only towards increasing vacantness of mind and to allow oneself to utter only fatuities...To be impartial is still to have partialities and, depending on circumstance and fortune, to have to deal with issues on which one has specific partialities of thought and feeling.
