"Poppers" is the street name for inhalable butyl, isobutly and amyl nitrites. They were commonly used as street dugs in the 1980s, particularly among the male homosexual scene. They are immunosuppressive, mutagenic and highly oxidative. Their abuse has been implicated in the development and spread of AIDS.
