From 1966 to 1976, the proportion of people in the USA answering yes to whether they had a great deal of confidence in people in charge of running major institutions dropped from 73% to 42% for medicine; for major companies from 55% to 16%; for law firms from 24% (1973) to 12%; and for advertising agencies from 21% to 7%.
