Instability of soybean trade
Incidence
Sales of soybeans became unstable following the introduction of genetically-modified varieties into the market. In Croatia, where in 1999 there were no laws requiring labelling of genetically-modified foods, organic farmers were forced to label their products as GM-free because their sales dropped so dramatically.
