Front organizations

Nature

Front organizations are credible cover operations for other activities which are illegal, unfashionable or philosophically eccentric. Some front organizations use issues of genuine public concern or needs for social service as a springboard to advance their particular causes. Others use a cover of providing needed services in order to perform or to fund illegal activities.

Incidence

The Lyndon LaRouche political network, based in the USA, uses companies such as Campaigner Publications, Fusion Energy Foundation, New Benjamin Franklin House Publishing Company, Club of Life, and the Executive Intelligence Review, to fund and promote fanatical conspiracy theories.
