Nature
This merger of capitalism and fascism, combined with limits to free speech, is a globalist movement, not limited to any one state or nation.
Background
The repeated history of the various forms of corporatism, often labeled “fascism” during the early to mid-20th century, has been the development of totalitarian political governance structures. In the 21st century, these corporatist political structures have come to rely on computational modeling and artificial intelligence algorithms informed by massive databases to guide decision-making. Databases that seek to identify and characterize the activities and biases of virtually all human beings and all available data concerning the nature of the world - geophysics, climate, resources, “one health,” energy, and any other useful predictive parameters. All combined within computational modeling algorithms, which are now accepted as an object of faith and have become a surrogate for measurable truths.
All of this has given rise to centralized, globalized, arbitrary, and capricious decision-making on a scale never before possible. Once the models have been run and the centralized decision-making has been performed, then the propaganda, censorship, and modern PsyWar technologies are deployed by various means, including captured “intelligence agencies” and the corporate media (which is owned and controlled by the same transnational organizations) to enforce these decisions.
This is the structure of modern techno-totalitarianism: an interwoven corporatist web that unilaterally controls and implements globalized policies, is answerable to no one, and recognizes no law other than its own interests and privilege. At the center of this web lies global public-private partnerships, or G3P. Caught like flies in this global financial and political web, politicians, political parties, indebted nation-states, and even multinational treaty and alliance organizations such as NATO and the European Union must dance to the tunes called by the G3P.
Claim
In the economic crisis of the 1970s, the business world seized the opportunity. In the USA in the mid-’70s, you see a point of inflection in overall statistics: mortality, health care costs, incarceration, minimum wage and so on. The US was moving along with most of the rest of the developed world up to the mid-’70s. Then it stops, and the country moves off the spectrum in all these respects. By now, it was the late Carter regime. Then Reagan took over and accelerated it, opened all the spigots. It was the same in the UK under Thatcher. Since then, it has spread all over the world. It’s been a major class war, a brutal class war, which has devastated much of the world and led to tremendous anger, resentment and contempt for institutions. That’s the background out of which you start getting these proto-fascist parties arise in the twenty-first century.
GloboCap (or “the Corporatocracy” if you prefer) has been delegitimizing, demonizing and disappearing dissent, and increasingly imposing ideological uniformity on Western society, since 2016. Once it gets done quashing this “populist” rebellion and imposing ideological uniformity on urban society throughout the West, it will go back to destabilizing, restructuring, and privatizing the rest of the world, which is what it was doing with the “War on Terror” (and other “democracy-promoting" projects) from 2001 to 2016.
The goal of this global Gleichschaltung campaign is the goal of every totalitarian system, i.e., to render any and all deviance from its official ideology pathological. The nature of the deviance does not matter. The official ideology does not matter. (GloboCap has no fixed ideology. It can abruptly change its official “reality” from day to day). In our brave new totalitarian global-capitalist “reality,” anyone who questions or challenges such “facts” immediately renders oneself a “Deviant” and is excommunicated from “Normal” society.
One big advantage the global-capitalist empire has over earlier totalitarian systems. Unlike the Communists and the National Socialists, global capitalism has no ideology, so it can morph into anything it needs to morph into, including any potential opposition to it.
