Double mindedness

In the disease of double personality two defined selves in turn struggle for the possession of the field of consciousness, or they exist side by side, each more or less ignorant of the other. Most blemishes of character, misdeeds and crimes arise from more or less split personality. Normal evolution of character consists in the straightening out and unification of the inner self.
