Nature

The rescinding of a person's nationality deprives him of his political and social rights and makes him stateless. In certain countries a woman's nationality may be rescinded if she marries a foreigner, a man's if he serves in foreign armed forces; or the nationality be rescinded of anyone who has voted in a foreign country, who has become the naturalized citizen of a foreign country, or who has not complied with laws concerning dual nationality.
