It may have a relatively minor effect on the body causing the jaw to drop and the head to slump; however, the effect may be quite dramatic. People may feel their legs go from beneath them and they may collapse completely. These attacks can last a few seconds or may collapse completely. These attacks can last a few seconds or many minutes and occur many times a day. They may be associated with narcolepsy.
